The program supports the mission of ensuring that members of at-risk populations are prepared to succeed as responsible, productive citizens in a global society, thereby enhancing the quality of the State's labor force through the creation of a unified workforce development system. The State's objectives are to develop, implement and continuously improve adult education and literacy services. Through high-quality adult education programs, adult learners are expected to meet or exceed adult Education State and Federal performance standards.
